I have made a squidgy house, but you can make a more structured version if you cut cardboard or plastic mesh pieces the same size as the knitted house pieces and place inside when you sew together.

PATTERN INFO:

• The finished house is 17 cm tall x 14 cm wide.
• The pattern is 6 pages and written in English.
• Most pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight single-pointed knitting needles.
• The i-cord trim pieces are worked on two DPNs.
• This pattern incorporates a two-colour trellis stitch to make the roof tiles.
• You will also need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED:

• A pair of straight 3.5 mm (US 4) single-pointed knitting needles
• Two 3.5 mm (US 4) double pointed needles
• Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight)
• Toy filling
• Buttons to decorate
